Boston Remains High-Risk After More Than 500 Cases Last Week
With numbers continuing to creep upward, there is no clear path for a return to a lower-risk designation for the city.

BOSTON — The city has seen more than 500 coronavirus cases in the last week as it remains stuck in the high-risk designation with no clear path out.
Boston's case count is at 18,857, which is 518 more than last week's coronavirus map update. The two-week case count is at 1,081.
The average daily incidence rate per 100,000 residents continues to move upward, now sitting at 11.11. That number needs to get under 8 to move back to yellow.

Walsh is planning a press conference Thursday afternoon.
