Cats Of The Month: Patches and Chunky Will Brighten Your Spring!

Cats can live to be 20 years old, so it’s not uncommon for them to either outlive their owners or end up homeless when a long-time owner moves and can’t take pets along. Such is the case for Chunky and Patches, two older boy cats looking for new homes and people to love. They are among many pets of all ages seeking adoption through Kitty Connection, a no-kill animal rescue organization based in Medford and providing adoptions throughout Greater Boston and the North and South Shores. All of them would love yours to be their forever home.

Chunky

Chunky is a handsome eight- to nine-year-old whose owner moved away, leaving him with a family member who couldn’t take care of him. He is sad right now but is generally a friendly, outgoing guy who will settle into his new home well after a little time to adjust. Chunky’s only health issue is a minor one – a heart murmur that won’t affect his ability to live a long, happy life with his new family.

Patches

Twelve-year-old Patches is a friendly, gentle, loving soul. He and his sibling were left homeless when their owner died. They are comforting each other and hope there is someone out there with a big heart who will give them both a new home together. They promise to be great companions.

Patches and Chunky are neutered, have their rabies and distemper vaccines, and have been examined by a veterinarian and tested negative for the Feline Immunodeficiency and Feline Leukemia viruses.
