"Along with the higher-elevation locations in the West, some portions of the northern Plains, Upper Midwest and Northeast are likely the only places that can expect to wake up to snow on Christmas morning," reported AccuWeather staff writer Mark Puleo.

The Old Farmer's Almanac somewhat enthusiastically said those in the Northeast, Lower Lakes, Upper Midwest, Heartland, High Plains and Alaska should expect to see snow Christmas Day.
