Downtown Crossing's Democracy Brewing Reopens After Closing

After having to temporarily close in November, Democracy Brewing is re-opening for the third time.

BOSTON — As Covid-19 restrictions ease up, more restaurants and bars are finding themselves opening again, aiming to get back people back in and bring in enough business to rise to their pre-pandemic glory. Democracy Brewing in Downtown Crossing re-opened for the third time on Sunday.

After their first opening on July 4th, 2018, and again after the first emergency statewide COVID-19 shutdown, Democracy Brewing had to shut down temporarily once again in November 2020. According to an Instagram post, they are thrilled to announce their third re-opening.

Boston Restaurant Talk reported that the pub was able to work out a deal for reduced rent which allowed them to shut down the restaurant until COVID-19 restrictions improved.
