Posto, Leone's And More: Where To Grab A Slice This Weekend
Ditch your usual pizza routine and indulge in a slice at one of these authentic Boston shops.

Winter or summer, rain or shine, in my book, there’s one food I can enjoy anywhere, anytime — pizza! But if you’re like me, you can get stuck in your habits of visiting the same pizza shops and ordering the same pies. This weekend, try something new and grab a slice (or a small pie) for yourself at one of these great Boston-area spots. We've got Sicilian style, Neapolitan, unique topping creations, and more!
Dragon Pizza
This new Davis Square spot serves up some of the most delicious slices I’ve had a long time. Dragon Pizza, which opened last month, is a collaboration between two industry vets, Charlie Redd and Keenan Langlois, and has already become a hit.

Posto
Posto is another Davis Square spot that I can’t get enough of. Since 2010, they’ve been serving some of the city’s most delicious Neapolitan style pizza. Go for one of their meat pizzas — I love their sausage, prosciutto, and porchetta pies, though you can never go wrong with their classic margherita.

Leone’s
If you’re in the mood to indulge in some thick Sicilian pizza, look no further than Leone’s in Somerville’s Winter Hill neighborhood. Since they opened in 1954, they’ve learned a thing or two about how to make a good pizza.

Galleria Umberto
Would you believe me if I told you that you could get a meal from a James Beard Award Winning restaurant for under $2? Well you can see for yourself at Galleria Umberto in the North End. This cash-only spot serves Sicilian style pizza for less than $2 a slice. Pro tip: go early. With those prices, the line gets long and the pizza goes fast.

All Star Pizza Bar
All Star Pizza Bar has some of the most creatively concocted pizzas in the city. With pie styles like buffalo duck confit, potato skin, and atomic meatloaf meltdown, their menu is truly unique. Visit their Beacon Hill or Inman Square locations to see for yourself. Bring your dairy free friends along too — they have a great selection of vegan pies.
