The Fours Closing After 44 Years In Boston

The beloved sports bar in the shadow of TD Garden has closed its doors for good.

BOSTON — The Fours Boston is closing for good after 44 years as a top sports bar destination in the shadow of TD Garden.

While management did not say why it was shuttering the Canal Street staple, the announcement comes as iconic bars and restaurants close across the city amid the COVID-19 pandemic. McGreevey's on Boylston Street and Cheers at Faneuil Hall both said they are closing this month.

The Fours locations in Norwell and Quincy will remain in business. The Boston location is closing immediately.
