Friday: Cloudy, chance of showers and thunderstorms this evening followed by potential showers and patchy fog after midnight. Beware of gusty winds and possible small hail this evening. Lows will be in the mid-50s.

Saturday Daytime: Mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers in the morning becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon. Slightly cooler than Friday, with highs in the mid-60s and a north wind that could gust up to 20 mph, as well as a 40 percent chance of rain.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, but much cooler, dipping down to the lower 40s. The north winds will continue, with gusts up to 25 mph.

Sunday Daytime: The sun returns Sunday, with highs in the mid-50s and north winds 5-10 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy with temps dipping to the lower 40s again, and a southeast wind of 5-10 mph.

Monday will bring showers, which appear likely to continue through the the week. Try to take comfort in the fact that this dampens the chance of recent fires like that huge junkyard blaze in Everett or the brush fire in Boston.

Even if you're reminding yourself from inside your dark and dreary office.
