Tool first formed in 1990, and is currently made up of vocalist Maynard James Keenan, drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones and bassist Justin Chancellor, who joined the band in 1995.
The group has found success throughout its career, winning three Grammy Awards, including two for “Best Metal Performance” in 1997 and 2001, while putting out a string of top-selling albums and going on several worldwide tours.
Tool was also one of the last popular music acts to make its catalog available on streaming services, but finally uploaded its entire discography earlier this summer.
The band became the first group to ever own all Top 10 spots on Billboard’s Digital Rock Songs Sales chart, according to LoudWire. Even more impressively, at one point this summer each of the band's albums was in the top 20 of the Billboard 200 chart.
