BOSTON — In celebration of her first album in nine years, British singer-songwriter Natasha Bedingfield is taking her new music on tour, including a stop in Boston at the Wilbur Theatre on Oct. 15.
After releasing her debut album, “Unwritten,” in 2004, Bedingfield, whose style mixes R&B with soul and hip-hop, became an instant international star. Selling over 2.3 million copies, the album earned her nominations in 2005 and 2006 at the Brit Music Awards for Best British Female Artist. This was followed in 2007 with a Grammy nomination for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
Bedingfield’s second studio album was met with similar acclaim, with “N.B.” producing numerous top singles in the U.K., including “Soulmate” and “I Want To Have Your Babies.” The same album was released in the U.S. and Canada in 2008 under the title “Pocketful of Sunshine,” with a hit single of the same name.
