MASSACHUSETTS — It's Friday, October 2. Here's what Patch has been covering across the state today.
The FBI is investigating automated calls placed to voters that target state Rep. Tram Nguyen, a Democrat who represents parts of Andover, Boxford, North Andover and Tewksbury.
The caller claims to support the Vietnamese-American state representative, but mispronounces her name, claims she supports policies she does not support, and calls for "less white people in positions of power."

Framingham Men Arrested For Sex Trafficking At Brothels
Three men were arrested and charged this week in connection with two brothels run out of homes in Framingham, according to the state Attorney General's Office. Alejandra Arguello-Uribe and Karime Gallon Moreno were arrested on Wednesday and charged with one count each of trafficking people for sexual servitude, keeping a house of ill fame and maintaining a house of prostitution.
Arrest Made In Fatal Hit-And-Run
A Brockton woman was arrested in connection to last week's hit-and-run crash that killed a Quincy man. Shandi Cardoza, 31, is accused of leaving the scene of the crash that killed Aquilino Sol Lopez, 23, who was riding his scooter home from work at the interchange of Route 139 and Route 24 in Stoughton.
Boston Sports Clubs Abruptly Closes More Gyms
The owner of Boston Sports Clubs filed for bankruptcy last month in a plan that would allow the popular gym chain to keep operating as it works out its debts following months of closures. Town Sports International LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Delaware, meaning the company aims to keep the business alive while paying off its creditors.
