Sobriety Checkpoint Planned for Suffolk County Thursday Into Friday

Be aware, drivers.

Massachusetts State Police plan to stage a Sobriety Checkpoint this week in Suffolk County.

The goal, per state police, "is to further educate the motoring public and strengthen the public’s awareness to the need of detecting and removing those motorists who operate under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs from our roadways."

The hours are varied, and vehicles will not be stopped in an arbitrary manner, MSP said.
