"We think they're in good shape, but they're in surgery," Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey said. "It's serious. One of the officers has been a long-time friend and is very active in the town."

Morrissey said the situation started around 12:45 p.m. when police responded to a domestic situation at the Braintree Village apartments.
Officials said the suspect ran into the woods, and shots were fired when police tried to find him. The officers were "lying in wait of an ambush," according to Morrissey." Police Chief Mark Dubois said the suspect was armed with two guns.
