During the investigation, police said they were made aware of drug activity in a room at the Extended Stay Hotel at 20 Rockdale St.

When police arrived, they heard arguing outside the room and announced their presence. A woman, later identified as Jessica Mueller, 24, of Hull, allowed officers to come inside. Police said when they entered the room, they saw a knife and a large amount of drugs in plain view.

Mueller, along with Joseph Hazelhurst, 31, of Weymouth, and Richard Maguire, 32, of Braintree, were arrested.

Police searched the room and said they found a gun, ammunition, more drugs and drug paraphernalia.

The three were charged with carrying a firearm without a license, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of a class A substance, possession of a class B substance (crystal meth), possession of a class B substance (cocaine), possession of a class B substance (Adderall), possession of a class e substance (Xanax) and possession of a class E substance (Gabapentin).

In a separate incident, 12 hours later, police said they arrested a Randolph man and issued a summons for a Whitman woman after the man pointed a BB gun at someone.

Wesley Goodman, 21, was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, and Victiana Velazquez Santana, 20, was charged with a red light violation, driving an unregistered vehicle and unlawfully attaching registration plates.

Around 2:20 p.m., police were called to Hall Avenue area after reports of a man in a Nissan Altima pointing a gun at someone in another vehicle.

Police said they found the Altima on Ivory Street in front of the MBTA station.

"Due to the nature of the call possibly involving a firearm, officers conducted a felony stop of the vehicle," Police Chief Mark Dubois said in a statement.

Velazquez Santana was removed from the car, but police said Goodman initially refused to get out. Police said he was ordered to the ground, but he refused to do so. Officers then forced Goodman to the ground and took him into custody. Police said Goodman did not report any injuries.

Police said they found a Glock 17 model BB gun that looked like a real gun.

"Each of these cases show excellent work by all of the officers involved which resulted in weapons and dangerous substances being taken off the streets," Dubois said. "The BB gun seized Thursday afternoon is also an excellent example of how difficult it can be to deterimine if a weapon is real or fake during a fast-moving situation."

Hazelhurst, Maguire and Mueller were arraigned in Quincy District Court last Thursday. All three were held on $1,000 cash bail and are due back in court Sept. 25.

Goodman was arraigned last Friday in Quincy District Court. He pleaded not guilty and was held on $5,000 bail.

He was ordered to stay away and have no contact with the victim and is not allowed to drive a car. His next court date was scheduled for Sept. 17.
