Braintree Announces Free Parking For Red Sox Parade Near Trains
Three lots will have spaces available within walking distance of public transportation.

BRAINTREE, MA — The town is offering free municipal parking in three areas near public transit for Wednesday's Red Sox World Series Parade, Mayor Joseph Sullivan announced.
Parking lots at Sunset Lake, Watson Park, and Smith Beach will have spaces available within walking distance of public transportation. The parking lot at Sunset Lake, on Franklin Street has 144 spaces and is a 10-minute walk from the Braintree MBTA station.
Watson Park, off of Gordon Road has 39 spaces, but people are prohibited from parking on the street, outside the lot. The Smith beach lot, at the corner of Edgehill and Vinedale roads has 80 spaces. Both lots are within walking distance from the Weymouth Landing/East Braintree commuture rail station.
