Braintree College Baseball Player Makes All Academic Team

BRAINTREE, MA — Cal Berman was a key cog in Braintree High School's baseball state championship in 2015, as a captain and playing first base. He's since graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia, and has made just as big of an impact in the classroom as he has on the baseball diamond. Berman was named to the Atlantic East Conference's All Academic Team.

Marymount saw 117 student-athletes make the team with a GPA of at least 3.2. But Berman, who studied business, knocked that requirement out of the park, finishing with a 3.75 in the first semester and a 3.85 in the second.
