The four-day festival officially begins at 11 a.m., Thursday and gives the entire Braintree community a chance to experience Greek culture through food, music, and dance.

"Everyone at the church has worked tirelessly to prepare this event which fuses together all the elements of Greek culture: food, music, folk dancing, the importance of community, and our treasured Orthodox Christian faith," church Reverend Dionysios Koulian said in a statement. "It is our honor to share these things with one and all."

The food menu includes authentic Greek classics like gyros, pastitsio (seasoned ground beef with pasta andgrated cheese, topped with cream sauce), moussaka (layers of eggplant, potato and sautéed groundbeef topped with cream sauce), dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), and spanakopita (spinach pie). There's also plenty of dessert pastries to try including baklava (choppedwalnuts baked in layers of crisp filo dough and honey syrup), baklava sundaes, loukoumades (deepfried dough dipped in honey) and more. Children and adults from the Saint Catherine Church community will perform, as well as teach the dances.
