Braintree Opens 2 Cooling Centers For Heat Wave Relief
Temperatures exceeding 90 degrees forced Braintree to open cooling centers at the town hall and department of elder affairs.
BRAINTREE, MA — Town officials opened two cooling centers Monday for any residents who need shelter from the heat and humidity.
With temperatures exceeding 90 degrees Wednesday, the Braintree Town Hall Cahill Auditorium and the Braintree Department of Elder Affairs building opened as cooling centers. Both cooling centers are open until 4:30 p.m.
