Braintree, Quincy MBTA Parking Garages Reopen With Upgrades
Quincy Adams now has 500 available parking spaces, while Braintree Station has 350, following construction.

BRAINTREE, MA — Parking garages at the Braintree and Quincy Adams MBTA station reopened Tuesday for the first time since fall.
MBTA officials closed both garaged on Oct. 5, 2020 for construction upgrades. Because of declining ridership amid the coronavirus pandemic, officials said they had a rare opportunity to speed up the construction process.
Quincy Adams now has 500 available parking spaces, while Braintree Station has 350. There's still some construction going on, so another 300 spaces will open at each station once the project is completed. During construction, the Quincy Adams Garage drop-off and pick-up location remains on level 1B, while Braintree's went back to its original location at level 1B.

The Braintree garage will also get a new lobby with an elevator and other upgrades, and Quincy Adams will get a new area for bicycle storage and a pedestrian bridge.
The $64.3 million project is scheduled to be completed in June 2022.
