Braintree Real Estate Firm Gets New VP of Quality Assurance

Peabody Properties, Inc., a full-service real-estate firm managing in excess of 10,000 housing units across New England, today announced that Doreen Donovan has joined the company as Vice President of Administration and Quality Assurance. 

In her new position, Donovan will be responsible for managing client properties that offer affordable residential rental housing under one or more governmental assistance programs.  Donovan will establish and implement controls to document program compliance at the property level, including the development of systems, materials, staffing policies, procedures and requirements for employee training, internal controls, and oversight, reporting and administrative follow up.

Donovan boasts more than thirty years of experience in multifamily asset and property management, specializing in the administration of affordable housing assistance.  Prior to joining Peabody Properties, Donovan served as Vice President of Administration and Compliance for Corcoran Jennison Management/CMJ Management Company, where she oversaw the company’s multifamily residential portfolio.  During her tenure at Corcoran Jennison, Donovan was responsible for communicating federal regulatory changes, establishing company policies and procedures and contributing to staff training, education and development.

Earlier in her career, Donovan served as Asset Management Officer for MassHousing, where she was responsible for an 18,000-unit portfolio, served as Chairperson and Coordinator for the MassHousing Policy and Procedure Review Committee and received its Outstanding Achievement Award in 1996.

According to Peabody Properties, Inc. Donovan is a Certified Property Manager with the Institute of Real Estate Management, a certified National Affordable Housing Professional Executive, a Specialist of Housing Credit Management with the National Affordable Housing Management Association, a Housing Credit Certified Professional with the National Builders Association and has a Public Housing Occupancy Certificate from Quadel Consulting.

In 2008 the New England Affordable Housing Management Association recognized Donovan as a National Affordable Housing Professional and in 2005 she was recognized as Executive of the Year by the Institute of Real Estate Management.  Donovan is also an active member of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board, serves on the boards and committees of several industry groups and organizations and was a member of Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick’s Reform of Public Housing commission, for which she currently serves in an advisory capacity.
