Braintree Resident Honored With Customer Excellence Award

Joe Schwartz, an employee of Eversource, received the Customer Excellence Award for the second time in his career with the company.

From Eversource: Joe Schwartz, a Braintree resident, and longtime Eversource employee and current field safety supervisor, was recently honored with the company’s prestigious Customer Excellence Award for the second time in his career.

When a local customer experienced an electrical issue at her home before hosting a holiday meal, Schwartz took it upon himself to make sure there was food on the table. He dedicated the time necessary to carefully work through a list of the disabled customer’s concerns, not only helping her acquire a new stove but even assisting with getting groceries.

“You can feel Joe’s energy and passion whenever you speak to him,” said Eversource President of Regional Electric Operations Craig Hallstrom. “He constantly receives praise from contractors and customers for his professionalism and can-do attitude.”

Schwartz was joined by his wife, Nicole, at a ceremony held in his honor at the company’s Boston Service Center in Dorchester. In addition to his award, a donation will be made on Schwartz’s behalf to Boston Children’s Hospital.

This is the second time Schwartz has been presented with this respected award. He previously received an Eversource Customer Excellence award as a part of the “Southie Restoration Team” in December 2015.
