Braintree, South Shore Brace For High Winds, Coastal Flooding

Forecasters are calling for 2-3 inches of rain with some areas receiving 4 inches and wind gusts of up to 70 mph.

BRAINTREE, MA — The short of it is that Friday is going to be a bad day to be near the water and the coast on the South Shore.

A massive storm is expected to hit the state and bring flooding, high waves, and dangerous winds to the area. As such, the National Weather Service has issued a flood watch, high wind warning, and a coastal flood warning. That means there's a high potential for power loss, flooding, and structural damage.
