Braintree Square May Have A New Restaurant Soon

The licensing board approved a liquor license for Stacy's Tavern, a new restaurant in Braintree Square.

BRAINTREE, MA — A new restaurant could be opening at Braintree Square sometime soon.

The Braintree licensing board approved the transfer of an alcohol-restaurant license from the Viking Club to Stacy's Tavern. The tavern would open at the form location of the town's VFW oat 356 Washington St.

The alcohol license became available when the Viking Club, at 410 Quincy Ave., closed last year. The owner sold the building, which is expected to become part of an expanded Quirk Subaru dealership, the Patriot Ledger reported.
