The ceremony starts at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in front of the town hall at 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Drive. There will be free cookies and hot chocolate courtesy of Quincy Credit Union.
Santa will be there for the kids at 5 p.m., and the lights on the tree will go on at 5:15 p.m. A special mailbox was set up in the lobby of the town hall for the kids to send letters to Santa.
