Braintree Winter Storm Emergency Lifted, See Snow Totals
Lowell had the highest accumulation in the state with 24 inches total.

BRAINTREE, MA — Some of Massachusetts saw less snow accumulation than initially forecasted Monday into Tuesday, though parts of the state saw well over a foot. The heavy, wet snow made for dangerous road conditions across the state, and many school districts opted to continue with all-distance learning due to the inclement weather.
The National Weather Service gathered preliminary snow totals from across the state. On Tuesday morning, Lowell was the winner in the state with 24 inches. As far as Braintree goes, the area got less than five inches with Randolph seeing 4.6 inches of snow.
Still, the snow was enough to force a snow day for Braintree Public Schools, and force a snow emergency. The town's snow emergency was lifted at noon, Tuesday.
