Christmas Tree Pickup Schedule In Braintree

BRAINTREE, MA — You may not be ready yet to put an end to the holidays, but your tree must be taken down and go out for composting during the first two weeks of January or you'll be stuck disposing it on your own. Town officials announced this week it will collect Christmas trees for composting the week of Jan. 6 and the week of Jan. 13, 2020.

To have your tree picked up, put it outside with your trash on your scheduled pickup day. If you miss the deadline, you'll have to lug the tree to the compost site yourself. Trees can be dropped off at 225 Plain Street until Jan. 31.

All decorations must be removed from trees before they are picked up. Do not put the tree in any type of bag.
