Over A Foot Of Snow Fell In Braintree: NWS

The projections were spot on across the area.

BRAINTREE, MA — The winter storm that hung around all day Tuesday left behind way more snow than most people prefer to see on the ground at this time of the year.

Braintree received 13 inches of snow as of 7:55 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service. The reports are compiled by various reporters including trained spotters, co-op observers, social media, and the general public.

Here are the area accumulation totals from the NWS.
  • Sharon - 24 inches as of 1:50 a.m. Wednesday
  • Stoughton - 18.6 inches as of 7:16 p.m. Tuesday
  • Milton - 18.5 inches as of 6:58 a.m. Wednesday
  • Weymouth - 16.5 inches as of 6:01 a.m. Wednesday
  • Westwood - 16.3 inches as of 3:10 p.m. Tuesday
  • Braintree - 13 inches as of 7:55 a.m. Wednesday
  • Norwood - 11 inches as of 2 p.m. Tuesday
  • Brockton - 14.5 inches as of 3:16 p.m. Tuesday
  • Rockland - 14.5 inches as of 8:16 p.m. Tuesday
  • Easton - 13.0 inches as of 5:15 p.m. Tuesday
  • Hingham - 8.6 inches as of 4:33 p.m. Tuesday
