I-93 Traffic: Stuck Drawbridge, Heavy Commute To South Shore
Crashes and struck drawbridge are helping make an already congested evening commute tougher.

MILTON, MA — Don't expect to get anywhere in a reasonable period of time if you need to head down Interstate 93 South or are simply trying to escape the area before the 4th of July.
The exit 11 off ramp from to Granite Avenue near the Milton-Dorchester line has been closed on both sides of the highway due to a stuck drawbridge. A little further down the road is a car crash near exit 8, according to the Total Traffic Network.

Overall, drivers can expect heavy traffic from Boston to the Braintree split where it will be light if you're heading away from the South Shore and towards Interstate 95, but traffic on Route 3 South remains heavy as of 4:30 p.m. and doesn't get better as you head towards Cape Cod.
