BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree is getting a new place to have breakfast. The town's licensing board on Tuesday voted to approve the opening of an International House of Pancakes. The IHOP will be at 755 Granite St., the former location of the Ground Round and Applebee's.

The restaurant is expected to open sometime in June, IHOP regional manager Timothy Mulson told Patch. He said Braintree should be an excellent location for a new IHOP.

"It's a great community, and we have other IHOPs in nearby communities," Mulson said. "The community always supported us. We want to give Braintree a great place to have breakfast."
