Man Admits To Chasing Pregnant Ex-Girlfriend Off Braintree Road
Marlon Alexander, of Boston, admitted he crashed into his ex-girlfriend's car three times and ran her off Route 3 in Braintree.
BRAINTREE, MA — A Boston man admitted in Norfolk Superior Court to crashing his car into his pregnant ex-girlfriends vehicle and running her off the highway in Braintree.
Marlon Alexander, 28, pleaded guilty Wednesday to assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, negligent driving and leaving the scene of property damage, the Patriot Ledger reported. Alexander was also charged with armed assault with intent to murder and assault and battery on a pregnant victim, but those charges were dismissed. Alexander was sentenced to five months in jail, which was deemed already served. He will be on probation for the next three years.
The charges stemmed from a 2019 incident where Alexander saw and ex-girlfriend and began following her after seeing her at a gas station in Randolph. Police said the woman tried to get away by driving onto Interstate 93, exiting in Quincy, and then heading down Route 3 southbound. Alexander crashed three times into the woman's car, and sent her car off the side of the highway in Braintree, according to police.
