MBTA Preparing For Braintree Parking Garage Project
The $29 million project is expected to take two years to complete.

BRAINTREE, MA — Work on the Braintree and Quincy Adams parking garages is expected to begin by the end of the summer.
The MBTA held a public meeting at Braintree Town Hall on the work, with a second to follow Wednesday at the Lincoln-Hancock Community School Gymnasium in Quincy.
The project, which is expected to take at least two years, seeks to make repairs to the structure, add new water protection and drainage systems, increase safety and security features, and add bicycle storage and electric vehicle charging stations.

To make up for the lost spaces at the Braintree station, parking will be available at the former landfill across the street.
Work on the Braintree station is expected to run $29 million and is part of $1 billion in work that is being done across the Red Line, according to the Patriot Ledger.
