Nor'easter Floods Smith Beach; Roads Become Impassible
Today is not a good day to hang out by the water.

BRANITREE, MA — The nor'easter sitting over Eastern Massachusetts has caused flooding in Braintree.
The area around Smith Beach has flooded and police are telling residents to not drive through the water. A photo from Edgehill Road near Vinedale Road shows a water-filled road that is extremely difficult to drive down.
Watson Park does not look much better, Braintree Police said on Twitter.

Howard Street from Quincy Avenue to Shaw Street is impassible and is closed, police said.
Things are not expected to get better during the day. About 2-3 inches of rain with some areas receiving 4 inches and wind gusts of up to 70 mph are sill expected in Braintree and across the South Shore. Damage to trees, power lines, and property are possible with winds of this magnitude. Power outages are likely, according to the National Weather Service.
