Obituary: Officer Alex Kokoros

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 2-8 p.m., at the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home.

Alex G. Kokoros of Marshfield, formerly of Braintree and Weymouth, passed away October 29, 2018.

Alex attended Curry College, where he obtained his bachelor's degree, and Lasell College, where he earned his master's degree. Additionally, he had been working toward his law degree at Massachusetts School of Law. He began working for the Abington Police Department, where he was promoted to Sergeant. Alex was a dedicated family man, a proud police officer and enjoyed a good Patriots game.

Beloved husband of 11 years to Lindsay L. Kokoros of Marshfield, he was the cherished father of Kaylee, Chloe and Payton Kokoros; loving son of Debra J. Dupie and George C. Kokoros; dear brother of Stacy Kenneally of Harvard, Christina Kokoros of Somerville, Francis Kokoros of Braintree and Ailish Kokoros of Braintree. Alex was the grandson of Theresa Armstrong of Quincy and Josephine Morgan of Braintree. Also survived by his nephew, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends and fellow officers.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 2-8 p.m., with a law enforcement walk through at 2 p.m., in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, at 809 Main Street (Rte. 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday prior to the funeral Mass in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth, at 10 a.m. Burial will be private. Please consider a donation in memory of Alex to be made to the Kokoros Family Benefit Fund, Rockland Trust Bank, 288 Union St., Rockland, MA 02370.
