Potholes – the scourge of the sedan, traitor among tires, foe of the frappuccino – multiple in the winter after bouts of snow and cold weather.
According to an informal poll on Facebook, roads are in particularly rough shape at Thayer Place, south Pond Street and the Route 3 South on-ramp at the Rotary.
However, overall Braintree officials have not seen a surge in pothole repair requests yet this winter, Chief of Staff and Operations Peter Morin said.
He suggested residents call the snow hotline at 781-794-8965 to report problems.
In his speech last week during the Town Council swearing-in ceremony, Mayor Joseph Sullivan said that the second 100 Roads Program is wrapping up, and that he will soon announce the roads involved in a third iteration.
If you are seeing a proliferation of potholes, give the town a call, but then also share your info with us in the comments below.
