State Police Identity Victim In Fatal Braintree Hit-And-Run Crash

BRAINTREE, MA — Massachusetts State Police have identified the pedestrian killed Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash on Interstate 93 in Braintree.

Thomas Gillis, 42, of Boston, died after being hit by a car around 4:25 a.m., on the southbound side of the highway, near exit 6. State Police did not say why Gillis was walking on the highway.

State Police said they are working to get a description of the vehicle or vehicles that hit the man.
