Taunton Woman Killed In Braintree Crash
Police are investigating a crash which took place on I-93 early Saturday morning.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Taunton woman has died following a car crash in Braintree early Saturday morning.
At about 1 a.m., State Police responded to a two-car crash on Interstate 93 South, north of Exit 5 in Braintree. A preliminary investigation indicates that the driver of a 2003 Buick Rendezvous on the southbound side of the highway lost control of the vehicle, causing it to crash into the guardrail before coming to rest in the right travel lane. The operator exited her Buick and was standing behind it when a 2005 Nissan Altima struck the Buick, pushing it into the operator.
The operator and sole occupant of the Buick, a 29-year-old Taunton woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, State Police said. The operator and sole occupant of the Nissan, a 20-year-old Brockton woman, was transported to Boston Medical Center with serious injuries.
