Thanksgiving Football: Braintree Wamps Host Milton WIldcats
Milton leads the series, 46-41-1, but Braintree has won six of the last 10 games.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Wamps are set to host the Milton Wildcats on Thanksgiving morning, a tradition that started in 1920. Despite breaks from 1923 to 1930 and in 1936 and 1940,the game has been an annual tradition, with 88 Thanksgiving games played between the two teams.
The 89th almost didn't happen, well at least on Thanksgiving. This one is going to get icy; it's supposed to be so cold, the game almost got moved to Wednesday, until a petition from players with over 1,800 signatures forced the school's hand.
Milton leads the series, 46-41-1. Last year, the Wildcats won a low scoring, turnover-filled game 14-7. The Wamps though have won six of the last 10 games.
