Thayer Public Library Expands Service Hours

Thank you for your patience while we begin our next phase of library service. Following federal, state, and local policy, we are working to keep you and our staff as safe as possible through this pandemic.

The Town of Braintree is excited to announce that Thayer Public Library will offer additional hours beginning the week of October 5th, which will include evening hours until 7:00 PM on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will continue to offer curbside service on Tuesdays and Thursdays and browsing in the library building on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. You can also place holds online 24 hours a day through the library catalog.

Curbside Pickup
Tues: 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Thurs: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM

The library will be closed on Monday, October 12th for the Columbus Day holiday.

Computer use is available during browsing hours but is limited to 45 minutes a day and we ask that you limit browsing to 30 minutes. You can make a reservation to use a computer by calling 781-848-0405, x4417 or just stop by to check availability.

Some services remain unavailable. At this time we cannot offer any study spaces, meeting rooms, seating and tables, newspapers, toys, in-library wifi, in-library programs, or access to the Friends’ Café or the Reading Room.

We will continue to provide updated information on the Library’s plans to increase services in the weeks ahead.

The Library is excited to connect you with books and materials and we appreciate your flexibility and patience as we move forward in reopening library services to the community.
