2 Men Pistol-Whipped During Armed Robbery In Braintree: Police
The two victims told police they were robbed outside a hotel while trying to complete an online transaction that led to a vehicle chase.
BRAINTREE, MA – Two men were robbed Saturday during the attempted completion of an online transaction at a Braintree hotel, which led to a shot being fired during a highway car case on I-93, police said Monday.
Two men told police they were robbed before the completion of a sale took place at the Hyatt Place hotel on Forbes Road at around 5:30 p.m., police said in a news release.
The victims told police that a vehicle with three men inside entered the back parking lot of the hotel and two men got out of the car to complete the transaction. The victims said the two men then robbed them and pistol-whipped them before leaving with several items taken from the victims, police said.

The vehicle then left the parking lot at Forbes Rd. and Granite St. and traveled onto I-93 North. The victims got into a car and followed. The victims told police one of the suspects leaned out of window and fired a gun at the victims’ vehicle, police said.
Police did not find any damage to the vehicle. Both victims suffered minor injuries but declined to be taken to a hospital. The suspects’ vehicle was later recovered in Boston. The incident remains under investigation by Braintree police.
