Woops! French Bakery Opens In Braintree

BRAINTREE, MA — A bakery chain specializing in macarons and other French pastries opened at the South Shore Plaza. Woops! has brought its own take on the colorful desserts, opening in the mall, across from the Apple Store.

Owner Bruno Alves started the brand in 2012 with a holiday popup shop at New York City’s Bryant Park. There's now 250 locations nationwide and five in Greater Boston.

"I love the Woops! brand as a whole," said Alves. "Macarons, especially colored macarons, bring fun to any table or party. They make excellent desserts, exceptional party favors and exciting gifts. Macarons appeal to the taste and eyes, and I'm confident the Boston community will continue to embrace this sweet treat as we continue to expand."
