2 Brockton Organizations Receive Blue Cross Blue Shield Grants

BROCKTON, MA — Brockton Neighborhood Health Center and Health Imperatives of Brockton have been awarded a total of $57,500 in grant funding from the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation to continue their efforts to promote and expand access to healthcare for low-income residents.

The Brockton grantees are two of 64 organizations receiving grants from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Of Massachusetts Foundation for their work in making healthcare accessible and affordable and responding to community needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"With this round of grant-making, we remain steadfast in our multi-year commitments to expanding access to behavioral health urgent care, investing in new models to address the social determinants of health, strengthening statewide advocacy for health access, and supporting local efforts to obtain coverage for Massachusetts residents," said Audrey Shelto, president of the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts Foundation, in a statement.

Since its establishment in 2001, the foundation has given a total of $73 million to organizations and programs working to improve health care in Massachusetts.
