Brockton Mayor Requests Coronavirus Vaccination Site
Mayor Robert Sullivan wants a COVID-19 vaccination site in Brockton, which has been one of the hardest hit Massachusetts cities.
BROCKTON, MA — Brockton Mayor Robert Sullivan urges Gov. Baker to give Brockton a COVID vaccination site. The city has over 11,000 confirmed cases since the pandemic began, along with 369 deaths, making Brockton one of the hardest hit by the disease in Mass, according to an article by The Enterprise.
The city is hoping to use the newly opened Shaw's Center as a new COVID testing sight, and have hopes that it could become a mass vaccination site. The vaccine is only at Phase 2 of Distribution, but the Mayor has hopes that the vaccine will turn around his city that has been "decimated" due to the virus.
