Brockton Wants TO Expand Retail Marijuana Stores By 75 PErcent
City officials may allow as many as 14 recreational cannabis dispensaries in Brockton, up from the current number of 8 licenses.
BROCKTON, MA — Brockton officials are considering raising the number of licenses to sell recreational marijuana. The city has already awarded seven licenses with two firms now competing for the eight.
According to the Brockton Enterprise, which first reported this story, the city initially set the number of licenses at the state-mandated minimum. But officials do have the option of issuing as many as 14 licenses for the sale of recreational marijuana.
