Brockton Winter Parking Ban Goes Into Effect

During snow emergencies, don't park on the streets. I'm sure your local plow driver will be grateful, plus no one wants to get towed.

BROCKTON, MA — It's snowed once this November, but with winter coming, it's probable we'll soon see a lot more. It might be a good idea to start thinking about avoiding street parking.

You'll soon have to, as Brockton's winter overnight parking ban starts Saturday. From Dec. 1 to April 30, parking is forbidden between the hours of 12 a.m., and 7 a.m. for many city streets. A list of streets can be found here. During the winter, all other streets have bans for the side where even-numbered homes are.

During snow emergencies, don't park on the streets anywhere in the city. I'm sure your local plow driver will be grateful, plus no one wants to get towed.

The penalty for violating the ban is a parking ticket at best and getting your car towed at worst.
