Keep Cool and Safe This Summer Season

Extreme temperatures are more than an inconvenience; they can pose a serious threat to health and safety. The City of Brockton has many services available to help residents weather the summer months.

Protect Yourself and Family:

• Stay in air-conditioned buildings as much as possible.
• Do not rely on a fan as your primary cooling device during an extreme heat event.
• Drink more water than usual and don’t wait until you’re thirsty to drink.
• Check on friends and neighbors and have someone do the same for you.
• Don’t use the stove or oven to cook—it will make you and your house hotter.

The Brockton Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with Mayor Sullivan’s Office and the Brockton Housing Authority will open city cooling centers on June 6, June 7 and June 8, 2021.

At:

Manning Towers- 45 Goddard Road, Community room
Hours: 11 AM to 5 PM

Seating capacity is approximately 40 people. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Food will not be provided;

There will be no overnight accommodations provided. The cooling center will close at 5 PM.
