Heights Crossing In Brockton Donates Blankets To Animal Shelter

The effort was organized by the assisted living facility's "Compass Cares" program.

BROCKTON, MA — Residents at Heights Crossing in Brockton recently gave back to their local community by donating blankets and food to the Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, said the assisted living facility in a news release Wednesday.

The initiative was organized by "Compass Cares," a group of residents living in the facility's Compass Memory Support Neighborhood for individuals with memory loss or Alzheimer's disease.

“It was great to see the pride and excitement on residents’ faces as they put this together,” said
Reggie Whalen, Director of Compass Memory Support Programming at Heights Crossing, in a statement. “The Compass Cares program has been instrumental in giving residents a sense of purpose and accomplishment. This group also loves animals, so it was the perfect project!”
