BROTCKTON, MA — Next month, Brockton will become 1967 Detroit.
Filming for Kathryn Bigelow's untitled Detroit project is expected to take place on Frederick Douglas Avenue next month, according to the Boston Globe. Brockton City Councilor-at-Large Winthrop H. Farwell, Jr. said film crews are creating 1960s storefronts.
Scenes for the movie are also being shot in Dorchester and Dedham. Anyone interested in being an extra in riot scenes can fill out a form here.
