Man Arrested In Brockton For Drug, Firearm Possession: Police
Troopers confiscated a loaded pistol and 57 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine.
BROCKTON, MA — A Randolph man was arrested in Brockton Thursday evening following a traffic stop that led to the confiscation of a firearm and 57 grams of cocaine, said a news release from Massachusetts State Police.
Antenor Ruddy, 34, was taken into custody shortly before 5:30 p.m. near Route 24 northbound after two troopers observed him driving a white Nissan SUV while looking down at a cell phone, said police.
During the traffic stop, police found that Ruddy's driver's license was suspended, according to the news release. Because he was the only occupant in the vehicle, a tow truck was requested and Ruddy was handcuffed while the vehicle was searched before removal.
