Ocean State Job Lot Taking Over 2 Former Toy R Us Locations

BROCKTON, MA — Discount retailer Ocean State Job Lot is taking over the locations of two former Toys R Us stores in Massachusetts.

The company has bought the former Brockton store at 100 Campanelli Industrial Drive, and leased the North Darmouth location at 492 State Road. The acquisitions are part of the company's plans to buy and lease seven former Toys R Us stores across the Northeast.

"In an ever-changing retail environment where many retailers are struggling, Ocean State Job Lot has been able to adapt, enter new markets, re-open closed storefronts, and create new job opportunities," CEO Marc Perlman said. "We realize that people work hard for their money, and those retailers who are able to provide exceptional value will be rewarded by their customers."
