South Shore Bar Pizza Joint Closes After Worker Gets Coronavirus

Damien's Pub is closed until Monday because of an employee testing positive for the coronavirus.

HANSON, MA — Damien's Pub, a popular spot for South Shore bar pizza, has temporarily closed after an employee tested positive for the coronavirus.

Damien's, in a Facebook post, announced the positive case and the restaurant's temporary closure Wednesday night.

"I was informed this afternoon that one of our employees has been exposed to Covid-19 recently, and tested positive today,” the restaurant posted. “I immediately contacted the Hanson Board of Health for guidance, and was told to shut down until further notice."

The restaurant, located on Route 58, said all employees will be tested, and said there will be a "certified professional cleaning" of the entire building.

The restaurant's owner on Friday said Damien's will remain closed until Monday.
