Teen Mom Thanks Frontline Workers
One grateful teen mom decided to thank front-line staff at Ascentria's Ruth House in a very special way.

Brockton, MA – Most mothers would agree that you can never fully prepare for the life-changing experience of raising children. However, most moms are fortunate enough to have the help of a strong support network such as their own mothers, partners and spouses, or even close friends.
Now imagine being a teenager, and a new mother, and entirely on your own. Perhaps that was your experience.
Ruth House, in Brockton, is one of two Ascentria homes that provide housing in safe, therapeutic residential environments that build individual strengths and help young families move toward self-sufficiency.

In challenging times like these teen moms need the support and guidance of our dedicated staff even more. Our residential counselors are helping to educate young residents about social distancing, hygiene for safety and the need to stay at the Ruth House for their well-being and that of their children. It is not easy an easy job, to say the least, to keep a houseful of teenagers focused on remote learning, occupied with activities and feeling optimistic about the future on the other side of this crisis.
One grateful teen mom decided to thank staff in a very special way. She created a banner, which hangs outside the house, with a very powerful message calling out the essential workers that work at Ruth House providing support twenty-four hours a day.
